ACG Parnell College

ACG Parnell College is a private school and is part of the Academic Colleges Group. It is located in Parnell, New Zealand. ACG Parnell College (formerly Junior College of New Zealand) opened in 1998 as one of the first independent Year 7 to year 10 high schools in the country. The principal, Larne Edmeades has been present since the renaming of the school and its move to the new building at 2 Titoki Street. Located in the inner-city suburb of Parnell in Auckland, ACG Parnell College provides education to boys and girls from Years 1 to Year 13. There is a building in George Street and a building on Titoki Street. Subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Music Art, Drama, Physical Education,Spanish and Chinese. ICT is integrated into all programmes of work. The are even more subjects at later years such as AS Physics or Classical Studies. ACG Parnell College lies adjacent to the Auckland Domain. Sports facilities, such as the Newmarket Gym and Pool and the Parnell Tennis Club, are close at hand.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
