Prospective Students

Tools to Find Your Perfect University

We provide you with everything you need to find the university that is the ideal match for you. Use the StudentRoads university search engine to check out individual university profiles, rankings, peer reviews, and statistics. You can bookmark the universities that look interesting to your personal profile so that you can keep track of your research. We also have resource articles, a destinations guide, and student stories that give in depth coverage and inspiration during the process.

Admissions Assistance

A free online profile with StudentRoads is a way to let admissions officers know about you. It is multimedia and individual, beyond your test scores and a standard black and white application form. Use your StudentRoads “passport” profile to highlight your academic and personal achievements, your interests and goals, and let admissions staff know why you want to become an international student. Remember that universities want to get to know the person behind the application so that they can recruit well-rounded and interesting students who will contribute to the campus community, in addition to succeeding at exams or in the science lab. What sets you apart from your peers? Make sure it is in your profile.

Community

If you have a question for a peer or someone who has been through it already – write up a question and post it in our “Community” section. We also have contact information for all of the universities in our database – don’t be afraid to reach out to their international student admission officers if you have specific questions.

Help Others and Become Part of the Mission to Promote Cultural Exchange

Future international students need your help to guide them through their educational decisions. Share your expertise by writing a review of your university so that these students know what to expect and can get authentic information from someone who has been through the process. You can also participate by directly answering questions in our community section and can inspire students by contributing your student stories. Encourage other students to experience education without borders – just like you did.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
