Emmanuel Bible College

Emmanuel Bible College is a small Bible college located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It is attended by 200 plus students from the months of September to April, with a break in December. It was first established in the early 1940s in Stouffville, Ontario. It moved from its previous site in the 1960s to its current location, 100 Fergus Avenue. Emmanuel Bible College provides Bible-based post-secondary education equipping women and men to think, live, serve and lead as mature Christians in the Church and in the world. The campus is composed of a number of buildings: The Ward Shantz Chapel, The Ellis Lageer Administration Building, the Emmanuel Campus Centre, the J.H. Sherk Education Centre, the Edna Pridham Memorial Library, and the residences, Warder Hall, Lehman Hall, and Wideman Hall. The Ward Shantz Chapel is where chapel services are held four time weekly. The main administration building was constructed when the college moved from its former location on Ahrens Street in Kitchener to where it is presently located. The library was built in the 1980s in memory of Edna Pridham, who died while she was serving in Nigeria.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
