Forest Hill College

Forest Hill College is a co-educational state secondary college in Burwood East, Victoria, Australia. Up until 2010, Forest Hill College was divided into 2 sub-schools, Junior (Year 7-9), and Senior (Year 10-12), with a courtyard for Year 7-9, a courtyard for Year 10, and another courtyard for VCE Year 11-12. New developmental plans for the school were implemented in 2010 which has since changed the way in which the college is divided. No longer are there separate courtyards based on year level, instead students are free to roam the entire college and interact with peers of all ages. This is part of the college's focus on community, in an attempt to build friendships throughout the college, making students feel welcome. This change is only one aspect of the ongoing development within the College. Year levels are assisted in their welfare roles by Junior and Senior Student Wellbeing Coordinators, a part-time Adolescent Health Nurse, a College Chaplin and Home Group Teachers. As of 2006, the college has approximately 800 enrolments with up to 50 full-fee paying International Students.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
