Georgian College is an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology. Its primary campus is in Barrie, Ontario, with satellite campuses in Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, Bracebridge, Port Colborne, Orangeville, and Owen Sound. The Georgian College University Partnership Centre (UPC) offers degree and graduate studies through partnerships with select universities, offering its own degrees in niche areas as well as graduate level certificate programs. Georgian operates the Canadian Institute for International Studies in Chandigarh, India, in partnership with Laurentian University. Many Laurentian University students who study at Georgian College participate in the annual Laurentian Model Parliament. The college was established during the formation of Ontario’s college system in 1967. Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology were established on May 21, 1965 when the Ontario system of public colleges was created. Georgian College offers a wide range of programs in Business and Computer Studies, Transportation Studies, Engineering Technology, General Studies, Design and Visual Arts, Health Sciences and Human Services, Hospitality and Tourism and Post-graduate Studies.
