Illinois Central College

Illinois Central College, often called ICC, is a large Illinois community college with its largest campus in East Peoria, Illinois, off Illinois State Route 116 (North Main Street) near U.S. Route 150 and the McClugage Bridge. Its district, Illinois Community College District 514, is a 2,322-square-mile (6,010 km) area covering most of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties and parts of Bureau, Logan, Marshall, Livingston, McLean, Stark, and Mason counties. As of Fall of 2009, ICC had an annual enrollment of 13,049 students. 91.5% of students were in-district residents. ICC offers 69 transferable associate in arts and sciences programs, 84 Associate in Applied Science programs, and 104 occupational certificate programs. More than 3,300 classes offered each semester, and the average class size is 14. Its educational accreditation is from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which accredits most of the colleges and universities in the western United states. ICC has four campuses: The East Peoria Campus is home to the Performing Arts Center, the David R.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
