John Cabot University is a private American liberal arts university located in Rome, Italy. Founded in 1972, it was named after the Italian explorer Giovanni Caboto. John Cabot University is located in the neighborhood of Trastevere--the Transtiber of the ancient Romans. The campus is near the compound of the Italian National Academy of Sciences. The University also recently inaugurated the Tiber Campus, near the Guarini Campus on Via della Lungara, which continues to serve JCU. The new building overlooks the Tiber River on the outside and the shops of Trastevere on the inside. Campus facilities include computer labs and Wi-Fi. The Frohring Library has online resources and databases. John Cabot University confers the Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Art History, Business Administration, Finance, English, Humanistic Studies, International Affairs, Italian Studies, Communications, Marketing, History, International Business, and Political Science. There is also a two-year program leading to the Associate of Arts degree. Students may also choose to participate in the University of Wales Validation Program in Business Administration, Political Science and International Affairs.
