Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (Bengali: খুলনা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় Khulna Prokoushol O Projukti Bishshobiddalôe) or KUET, formerly known as BIT, Khulna, is one of the best engineering universities in Bangladesh. The University has continued to expand with the construction of new academic buildings, auditorium complex, halls of residence, teachers dormitory, engineering section building etc. At present there are some 202 faculty members, 2,279 postgraduate and undergraduate students including some foreign students. KUET offers B. Sc. Engineering degree in undergraduate program as well as M. Sc. Engineering, M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), which started functioning from September 2003, is one of the five engineering universities of Bangladesh having an objective of achieving excellence in higher education, research and development in engineering and technology.
