LIM College focuses its education on the business side of fashion. Founded in 1939 by Maxwell F. Marcuse, LIM College (formerly known as the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising) is the only college in the United States dedicated exclusively to the study of business and fashion. LIM College grants Bachelor's degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Management, associate degrees in Fashion Merchandising, and Professional Certificates. LIM College also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with concentrations in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship, which is the only program of its kind in the United States and teaches advanced concepts and theories of management, leadership, and entrepreneurship within the context of the fashion business. Elizabeth S. Marcuse has been President of LIM College since 2002. She is a retail industry veteran, with 16 years of experience at companies including Donna Karan International, Montgomery Ward, The Limited, Inc. (Lane Bryant), and Macy’s.
