Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

Manuel L. Quezon University
The Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) is a private university in Quiapo, Manila, Philippines. It is a member of the Colleges and Universities Sports Association (CUSA). It offers academic programs at the pre-school, elementary, high school, tertiary, and graduate levels. It is named for Philippine president Manuel L. Quezon. A School of Law was established in 1947 by a group of lawyers and justices including Leoncio B. Monzon, Lorenzo Tañada, Arsenio P. Dizon, Carmelino G. Alvendia, J. B. L. Reyes, Manuel O. Chan, and Anselmo S. Claudio. The first batch of graduates practically dominated the bar examinations. Most of them followed in the footsteps of their mentors such as former Secretary of Justice Ricardo C. Puno Sr., Human Rights Advocate Sedfrey Ordoñez and retired Supreme Court Justice Isagani A. Cruz. Two of Justice Puno's students, Jose Melo and Jose Vitug, became Supreme Court Associate Justices. Others have gained fame in the practice of law, accountancy, business and education. The Law School progressed as Manuel L. Quezon Educational Institution, and in 1958, it achieved the status of university.

March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
