Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

Masada College
Masada College runs from kindergarten to year 12. While Masada accepts students of any faith or background, the student body is predominantly Jewish. Many are from South Africa and as a result, the school is very influenced by South Africans. Although, the school holds a huge Jewish Belief and Zionism. Hebrew and Jewish Studies is compulsory in years 7 and 8, and either Hebrew or Jewish Life must be chosen as an elective in years 9 and 10. Other subjects compulsory until year 8 include Science, Maths, English, History, Geography, Music, Art, DAT (Design and Technology) Food Tech, PDHPE (Physical Development and Health and Physical Education) and Jewish History. In year 9 and 10, Music, Art, DAT, Food Tech and Sport Science become electives. Masada College is the only Jewish day school on the North Shore of Sydney. The high school (Michael Faktor Campus) is located with Kehillat Masada Synagogue. The primary school campus is in Lindfield, next to the North Shore Synagogue. Masada College also maintains two preschools, Poppy Cottage (for 2–3 year olds), located on the Secondary School campus, and Victor Smith (for 4–5 year olds), located on the Primary School Campus.

March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
