Shah and Anchor Kutchi Engineering College is an engineering college in Mumbai, India. The college has been graded 'A' by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. This college was established by the Mahavir Education Trust in 1985. Mahavir Education Trust was established in 1983 to promoting technical education. With the help of donations of two main donors, Shrimati Laxmiben Karamshibhai Shah Trust and Shah Lalji Velji Anchorwala, a polytechnic under the name of Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Polytechnic was started in 1983. The inauguration of the polytechnic was by Vasantdada Patil, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra State. In 1984, due to the need of a university level education, the Mangal Textiles Building located in the adjacent Ujagar Industrial Estate was purchased. After modifications to the building Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College was opened in 1985. The construction work for the modern building for the engineering college was started in 1994. The new building is provided with electronics and computer laboratories, classrooms, library, and an auditorium as per the Central/State Government authorities' (i.e. AICTE/DTE) norms.
