Siquijor State College is the only state college in the island province of Siquijor in the Central Visayas Region, Philippines. Siquijor Island is geographically located 30 kilometers East of Negros Island and 565 kilometers from Manila. Siquijor State College shall be the center of excellence in Higher and Technical Vocational Education in the Province of Siquijor. Siquijor State College, an institution of higher learning founded in 1920, envisions itself to provide effective and excellent Higher and Technical Vocational Education in the different areas through instruction, research, extension and production and serve as catalyst and partner for local, regional and national growth and development. The SSC campus has a total land area of 3.9 hectares and is located in Barangay North Poblacion in the municipality of Larena which is acclaimed to be the center of trade and industry in the province. This is the Water Tank of Siquijor State College that symbolizes the reservoir of knowledge. Siquijor State College, was founded by Lt. Governor Vicente Villanueva.
