Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology also known as VESIT or VES Institute of Technology, established in 1984, is one of the premier engineering colleges affiliated with the University of Mumbai. VESIT offers bachelors programs in engineering under the following streams: Apart from these, VESIT also runs Masters programs, Master of Engineering and Master of Computer Application in affiliation with University of Mumbai. The campus is located in Chembur, a northeastern suburb of Mumbai, and stretches over a few acres of land. VESIT moved to the present campus from its old one (also in Chembur) in December 2010. The institution boasts of state of the art laboratory facilities. The Institute of Technology shares the campus with the college of Pharmacy and the college for Management and Research. The campus comprises one big C-shaped building, a football field. The engineering college building is five story, each floor is allotted to each of the five departments. Building also comprises a very well managed library, and a canteen. Biggest events - Praxis ( Annual Technical festival ), Sphurti ( Sports festival ) and Utsav ( Intra-College Cultural festival ).
