In order to get into UC Berkeley undergraduate school, you need to apply as a Sophomore. So I was first admitted to Letters and Science program as a Freshmen and then I applied and was accepted to the two-year business program as an undergrad. What I loved most about going to UC Berkeley was the diversity of people, programs and food. There are so many different interest groups, people to meet, and things to do, not to mention many inexpensive ethnic food options at your doorstep! But all the great opportunities that come with having such huge student population does have it's challenges: large class sizes, competitive registration for courses, and lack of housing. Although you may be in a econ class with 800 students, you do have smaller study groups to work with and although, you may have a challenge getting a place to live, when you do find something, it will be reaasonably priced because of rent control. Also, you do not need a car to get around because everything you need is walking distance away. Therefore, the student community, although enormous in size, is closely tied and thriving. Overall, I think it was the perfect college experience for me!
