École nationale supérieure de Techniques Avancées

The École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (National Higher School of Advanced Techniques), also known as ENSTA, is one of the most prestigious and selective French grande école in engineering. It is a member of ParisTech (Paris Institute of Technology). It is located in Paris, in the former premises of SUPAERO; it has an annex in Palaiseau (48°42′30″N 2°13′20″E / 48.708345°N 2.222099°E / 48.708345; 2.222099), next to École polytechnique. Every year about 150 engineers graduate from it. ENSTA offers its students general engineering training with the aim of enabling them to design, produce and oversee complex industrial systems, while meeting strict economic constraints and dealing with an international environment. To do this, the School provides high-level scientific and technological training, which is frequently updated to keep pace with changes in the leading edge technologies and supplemented by language, general culture, law and economics teaching.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
