Abu Dhabi University (ADU) was established in 2003, after three years of planning by H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nayhan and other distinguished citizens of the United Arab Emirates. The University has stated: The university aimed to ensure that all degree programs would be accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research before any students enrolled. Abu Dhabi University provides both undergraduate and postgraduate study programs, and consists of three collages along with the Abu Dhabi University has affiliations with the following institutions: ENPC MBA Paris, Al Maktoum Institute, Universitat Klinikumbonn, University of Westminster, University of London, Thunderbird, University of Bath, Technische Universitat Munchen, Penn State SMEAL College of Business, HEC Paris, Freie Universitat Berlin, Monash University, National University of Singapore, Wollongong, Cranfield University, University of Victoria, Pearson, Edexcel International. In October 2006, a new campus opened in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. It will include a teaching hospital, a mosque, a graduate center and a sports field.
