Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (formerly Albany College of Pharmacy) is a private, independent college dedicated to the advancement of health. The college has campuses in Albany, New York and Colchester, Vermont. ACPHS offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, which include: Opportunities also exist for students to pursue joint degrees in physician assistant studies, law or business through cooperative agreements with area schools. Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences opened a satellite campus in Colchester, VT (near Burlington) in fall 2009 that will enroll approximately 280 Doctor of Pharmacy students once it is fully implemented. ACPHS includes two research institutes. The Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) is a research-and-development facility dedicated to a three-pronged business development model focused on research, pharmaceutical services and education. PRI includes the Center for Nanopharmaceuticals, a state-of-the-art facility that plays a leading role in the development of technologies that will allow the delivery of medicine to specific cellular targets within the body.
