Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani - Goa

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani - Goa Campus (Hindi: बिरला प्रौद्योगिकी एवं विज्ञान संस्थान पिलानी- गोवा परिसर)(also referred to as BITS Pilani Goa Campus or BPGC) is a campus of BITS Pilani. The Institute is privately supported and fully residential. The institute was started in 2004 by BITS Pilani in response to the increasing number of students opting for engineering education in India. The campus, located in Goa on the banks of the Zuari River, close to the industrial sprawl of Zuari Industries, currently houses around 2600 students and was formally inaugurated on May 5, 2004 by the Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. On the demise of the Chancellor, Krishna Kumar Birla, in August 2008, the campus was rechristened as Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani - K. K. Birla Goa Campus in his memory; and the official event in this interest took place on 21st April 2011, with the formal ceremony being carried out by Shri Rahul Gandhi. The institute was named as a campus as opposed to a separate university.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
