Caucasus University is a privately held university which is located in Georgia, South Caucasus region. Caucasus University's (CU) mission is to stimulate, encourage and facilitate up-to-date, worldwide accepted, innovative initiatives in teaching and research. CU strives to disseminate ideas and skills of global significance, regional importance and lasting value in the South Caucasus region. The Caucasus University was established in 2004 as an expansion of the Caucasus School of Business (CSB) (established in 1998) by a consortium consisting of Tbilisi State University and Georgian Technical University in partnership with Georgia State University (Atlanta, USA). Caucasus University currently consists of six schools: the School of Business, the School of Law, the School of Media, the School of Technology, the School of Governance and the School of Social Sciences and offers degree and certificate programs. The mission of CSB is to assist Georgia's transition from a planned to a free market economy through training of a new generation of business professionals and to provide Georgia and neighboring countries with future business leaders. Its main purpose is to offer B.A. and M.B.
