Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering

Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE) is a private postgraduate institute of teaching and research in Islamabad, Pakistan, affiliated with the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. CASE offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master of Science (M.Sc.), and Ph.D. degrees in the disciplines of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and engineering management. The B.Sc programme in electrical engineering is accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council and has two variants: telecommunication engineering and computer engineering. CASE was established September 12, 2001, at Software Technology Park, 5-A Constitution Avenue, F-5/1, Islamabad, in affiliation with University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, with a faculty of three M.Sc. and nine Ph.Ds. CASE is a sub-campus of UET, Taxila, which allowed it to establish the M.Sc. and Ph.D degree programs in computer engineering. Dr. Kamal Athar started as the director of CASE from 2001 until 2003. CASE's curriculum is designed according to the specifications of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Financial aid is available to most students.
