Cummins Memorial Theological Seminary is a seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church located in Summerville, South Carolina, outside Charleston, named for George Cummins, the founder of the Reformed Episcopal Church. The seminary was founded at the end of the nineteenth century as a rogative college, meaning it was located wherever the Bishop of South Carolina took up residence. In 1912, the Diocese of South Carolina purchase property for a permanent campus. The seminary offers residential programs at the undergraduate level Bachelor of Theology (BTh), and for graduates already holding the Bachelor's degree is the Master of Divinity (MDiv), and a recognized Certificate in Theological Studies offered in residence. Cummins Seminary offers an External Studies Department for persons unable to attend a seminary on campus. The web address for the External Studies Program is ctsstudies.org.
