Florida Christian College is a higher education institution located in Kissimmee, Florida affiliated with the Independent Christian Church. The college provides non-denominational conservative Christian education ranging from preaching to elementary education. The school was founded in 1976 as Central Florida Bible College. The College moved to its present location and changed its name to Florida Christian College in 1985. Graduates from Florida Christian College serve around the world as preachers, teachers and missionaries. Florida Christian College was first accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education in 1985 and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1995. It operates and grants degrees under a license granted by means of accreditation by the Commission for Independent Education with the Florida Board of Education. It is a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Florida Association of Colleges and Universities. The college is also accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
