Forest Lake College

St. John's Anglican College (SJAC) classes from Prep to Year Six are conducted at the campus in Alpine Place, Forest Lake, Queensland. This campus operates in partnership with Education Queensland. About a kilometre away is the purpose-built campus in College Avenue, which accommodates students from Years Seven to Twelve. This campus was officially opened in 1998. As at Alpine Place, this campus operates in partnership with Education Queensland. A $4.25 million state of the art Resource Centre was built in partnership with the Forest Lake State High School. St. John's Anglican College was established in 1994 as Forest Lake College with 66 students. The College's enrolment has since expanded to 1,000 students. It was originally a joint initiative of the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church in Australia and until 2009 was operated by EDUCANG Limited along with Mary McConnel School, The FLC International Centre, The Lakes College and The Springfield College. In October 2009, sole ownership of Forest Lake College (FLC) and The Springfield College (TSC) was assumed by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane and a new board was appointed to EDUCANG Limited.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
