International Medical University

The International Medical University (IMU) is a private international medical university in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It offers courses such as Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing as well as postgraduate studies. The university maintains relationships with a total of 26 partner universities offering twinning programmes with many universities worldwide, including universities in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The International Medical University started off as International Medical College (IMC) in April, 1992 and was based in Petaling Jaya until 1999. It was also the first private medical institution of the country. The college was given university status in 1999 by the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Since 1999, the University has been rapidly growing and developing. This is reflected by the establishment of Clinical schools in Seremban and Batu Pahat, own Honours degree courses in Pharmacy and Nursing, and postgraduate research Masters and PhD programmes. The IMU Clinical School in Seremban took in its first cohort of 46 students in September 1999.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.
