Jessore Science and Technology University is a government financed public university in Bangladesh. This is the fourth public university in Khulna Division, and first public university in Jessore. This university was established on 2008, and has started the four years undergraduate courses from 2008-2009 Session Jessore Science and Technology University is located at Ambot-tala Bazar, Dogachia, Churamonkathi Union, Jessore Sadar, Jessore, Bangladesh Jessore Science and Technology University (JSTU), started functioning from 2008-2009 session, is expected of achieving excellence in higher education, research and development in Science and Technology. The first year's classes of the first batch students of all departments were started from 10 June 2009 in the Ambot-tola campus of the university with 205 students who got admitted in the following four departments: Aquaculture & Fisheries, Computer Science & Information Technology, Environmental Science & Health Management, and Microbiological Science.
