John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College

John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College is a secondary modern school situated on Hanby Lane in the rural market town of Alford, Lincolnshire, England. The current Headteacher is Mr Beverley and there are 55 staff and 13 support staff. Currently there are 612 students on role, However it does not have a Sixth form. It is a popular alternative for pupils living in the Alford area if they do not wish to or were not accepted into Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Alford In 2003, February, John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College was designated a Technology College. This means that they demonstrate commitment to using Technology to enhance all subject areas. To raise standards at all levels in the school they were given clear targets to meet, and must play an important role working with other schools and groups in the local community. In 2005 John Spendluffe Foundation Technology College was identified by the government as a Foundation School. At Foundation Schools, the governing body employs the schools staff and has primary responsibility for admission arrangements. The school's land and buildings are owned by the governing body or by a charitable foundation.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.
