MCL Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training

The Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training is a maritime school under Malayan Colleges Laguna established in 2008 in the Philippines which trains students in the fields of Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation. Mapúa Institute of Technology (MIT) is known for its long history of excellence in the fields of mathematics, science and engineering studies with the Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC), an industry leader and a byword in the ship manning business and training. MIT and PTC have joined hands to pioneer in the first ever industry and academe cooperation. Malayan Colleges Laguna is the home of the Mapúa–PTC College of Maritime Education and Training. It aims to inculcate in its student the primordial importance of excellence and virtue in their lives. Mapúa-PTC are both service-oriented organizations. This is to produce and provide the maritime world with well-rounded marine deck and engine officers and to meet the human resource requirements of the global maritime industry, both ashore and afloat.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
