Newbury College is a college with a career focus in Brookline, Massachusetts, in the United States. Newbury is situated on Fisher Hill, the former campus of Cardinal Cushing College, and comprises eight buildings on its 9-acre campus. The college contains three schools: Arts, Science and Design; Business and Management; the Roger A. Saunders School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Newbury was founded in 1962 and offers associate's and bachelor's degrees to approximately 1,000 students. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and competes in NCAA Division III athletics (colors are green and gold, and the mascot is the nighthawk). In 2009, it appeared on a US Department of Education watchlist for fiscal instability, after two years of failing to meet federal standards of financial health.
