The SRH University Berlin formerly OTA Private University of Applied Sciences Berlin is a state-approved private university in free sponsorship. OTA Hochschule GmbH is the financial supporter. The Private University of Applied Sciences commenced its work in 2002. The introduction of English-speaking academic programmes at Bachelor and Master level began in 2006. It offers two three-year Bachelor programmes. Students graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Starting in the winter semester 2006/2007, OTA University of Applied Sciences will offer a two-year Master's programme in the English language. Students graduate with a Master of Arts (M.A.). The basic educational goal of OTA University is to achieve a new balance between a sound and clearly identified organizational framework, intended to assure quality, and educational freedom through which students are offered the opportunity to improve their creativity and freedom and define their own educational profiles.
