The Oxford College of Engineering is a college in Bangalore, India, under the VTU Visvesvaraya Technological University recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education AICTE, New Delhi. Founded in 1974 by Sri S Narasa Raju, the Oxford Educational Institutions is the brain child of the Children's Education Society. The institutions are located mainly at 1st Phase, J.P. Nagar, Bangalore-560078, India. The college provides professional education in engineering subjects such as Computer science,electronics and communication, information science, mechanical, bio technology, electrical and civil, MBA and MCA. The campus is set in a 10.5-acre (42,000 m) campus and is situated along National Highway (N.H. 7), 10 km from Bangalore City. Students are admitted on merit, according to the directives of the Government of Karnataka, both to the Government Quota and the Management Quota. Eligibility for admission to B.E. courses is a pass in 10+2 class or equivalent with a minimum 35% in Science group. Mathematics and Physics are compulsory Science subjects.
