People's Education Society Institute of Technology or PESIT or P.E.S Institute of Technology, (Kannada: ಪಿ.ಈ.ಎಸ್. ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ) is a private co-educational engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1988 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It was granted academic autonomy in August 2007. PESIT is accredited by AICTE and National Board of Accredition. PESIT admits students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET or their COMED-K UGET test ranks. PESIT also admits students under Management quota,which does not place any merit requirements.There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering.On graduating students receive a Bachelor of Engineering or a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Students are admitted to postgraduate courses based on their GATE test scores as well as on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores. PESIT has over 35 doctorates on-campus specializing in various engineering departments.
