Selby College is located in Selby, and has a wide catchment area mainly in North Yorkshire, but also stretching into the East Riding of Yorkshire. Selby College is an Associate College of the University of Hull, and has recently been undergoing a comprehensive 3 phase redevelopment plan, which has involved construction of new buildings to supplement facilities. Following the opening of the Sixth Form Academy in 2004 and the Renaissance Building in 2006, the third building, the hub of the college, called the Jubilee Building, opened in January 2010 to students. Two further buildings were completed in Autumn 2010. Selby College is a Tertiary Education College offering both sixth form provision through its specialist 'A'Level Academy and a wide range of work-related vocational courses. Selby College has consistently proven itself to be one of England's Top Performing Colleges, with students achieving some of the highest examination results in the country. Selby College also recently swept the board after being described as "outstanding" in all five areas of inspection by Ofsted.
