Sir MVIT

Sir M.Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Located in Bangalore, the institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The college is located in a verdant campus at the outskirts of Bangalore city on Bangalore-Hyderabad (NH4) road. The College is Managed by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust. The Trust registered on 14 October, 1985 started working towards the establishment of an engineering college named after Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The Trust started the College with an intake of 120 in a small building near the Trust office in the Bangalore Palace grounds in the year 1986. The College was shifted during 1990 to a campus of about 135 acres (0.55 km) situated about 23 km from the city of Bangalore. The present intake of the institute is 540. The Institute currently has nearly 2600 students and over 145 teaching faculty. MVIT is located in Bangalore. Sir MVIT offers 9 under Grad degree programs and 4 Post Grad Programs.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
