Southern Regional College

Southern Regional College (SRC) is the name of the new regional further and higher education college in the Southern area of Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom. The Southern Regional College was formed on 1 August 2007 when three of Northern Ireland's further education colleges merged to become the SRC. The new SRC comprises the former FE colleges at Armagh, Newry and Upper Bann. There are a total of 6 campuses across the geographical region and the College incorporates four council districts. Southern Regional College is the largest Further and Higher Education College outside of Belfast in Northern Ireland. With a total of six campuses across the counties of Armagh and Down and covering four district councils, the College offers further and higher education. At further education level, the College offers courses from BTEC Level 1 Diplomas, through NVQ's, National Diplomas and A levels. Full time and part time courses are available. SRC also offers Apprenticeship Training programmes. SRC currently caters for approximately 32,000 students each year and has in excess of 1,100 members of staff.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
