Southfields Community College is a Secondary School in Southfields (Wandsworth), south west London. It has about 1300 students. The school enrolls students from over 80 nations. Southfields Community College is achievement focused in all aspects of college life. It is in the top percentile of schools nationally for contextual value-added results. It has a positive ethos with an emphasis on teaching and learning. Its curriculum is wide and varied and provides young people with remarkable opportunities to study and develop their skills and more importantly, enjoy learning. It offers a wide range of courses. Of course it offers the traditional academic subjects but, in addition to this, it also offers vocational and work related courses that can prepare and equip its students with the knowledge, skills and abilities for their chosen careers. The majority of students are from different minority ethnic groups and speak more than seventy different languages. For over a third of students, English is not their first mother language. It has a growing Sixth Form, at present 400, which in turn offers a pathway to university, apprenticeships or employment/training.
