The Springfield College

The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC) is an independent, co-educational day school, located at Springfield, a suburb in South East Queensland, Australia. It is not to be confused with Springfield College, the institution in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, where the sport of basketball was invented. The campus on Springfield College Drive, Springfield now houses the Junior School (Prep to Year Six). A separate campus for the Middle School (Years Seven to Nine) and for the Senior School (Years Ten to Twelve) on the Springfield - Greenbank Arterial opened in Term 2, 2008. Completion is expected by 2019 and the campus will have an ultimate capacity of 700 students. The Springfield Anglican College was established in 1998 as The Springfield College (TSC), with an enrolment of eleven students. Student numbers have grown quickly and it now has an enrolment of 480 students, from Prep (pre-school) to Year Nine. In 2007, enrolments outgrew facilities - a result of the delayed start of the new Middle/Senior School campus - and Senior School students (Years Ten to Twelve) were transferred to sister school Forest Lake College.

Student Stories

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
