St. Peter's College, Johannesburg

St Peter's College is a secondary school located in Johannesburg, South Africa. St Peter's College is an IEB co-educational high school in Johannesburg. The College hosts two major sporting events each year, namely the St Peter's College Sports and Cultural Festival in September and the Old Petrians Water Polo and Cricket Festival in February. The Sports and Cultural Festival attracts over 1500 participants in the various sporting and cultural codes. St Peter's is recognised for its successes in the cultural field. "Shobedisa" - an original St Peter's drama production - won 'Best Play' at the RAPS Festival at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2005. The 2009 production, "Boys 2 Men", reached the semi-finals. The college has also developed a formidable reputation in Water Polo, particularly after its boys' team won the National Co-educational Championships in 2009. St Peter's is involved in several community outreach programmes including Habitat for Humanity. St Peter's College was founded in 1998 as a response to the shortage of independent high schools in the area.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.
