Thiel College

Thiel College is a private, liberal arts, sciences and professional studies college related to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Thiel provides affordable high-quality college experience with dedicated faculty, numerous leadership opportunities and a wide variety of student activities and organizations. Thiel (pronounced "teel") is situated on a 135-acre (0.55 km) campus in the small western Pennsylvania town of Greenville, which is about halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Thiel has an enrollment of 1,096. The student body is 54% male and 46% female. 58% of students are from Pennsylvania, while 36% are from other states and Puerto Rico, and the remaining 6% are international students. 10% of students are minority students. The college has a student:faculty ratio of about 13:1 and 68% of classes have 20 or fewer students. Thiel offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associate of Science, and Associate of Arts degrees. Degrees are offered in more than 60 majors, minors and areas of study. The academic calendar includes a fall and spring semester as well as May, June, July, Online and Evening sessions during the summer.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
