Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt, is a university located in Caracas, Venezuela. Named after Alexander von Humboldt. It is a private institution sponsored by the Civil Association Educational Humboldt, created by the National University Council in Resolution No. 28 of 25th July 1997 and authorized its operation by Presidential Decree No. 2.225 of December 1st 1997. Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt is administered by the civil association, whose fundamental mission is to seek profit and its main purpose is commercial. Since its foundation until January 2009 have been fifteen graduate promotions in different areas and students have not yet managed to convince national authorities to be involved in this university to protects the interests of more than 11,000 students in all locations.
