Universidad La Salle

Universidad La Salle (ULSA) is a private institution of higher education with 15 campuses in Mexico. It is part of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The history of this university began with the relocation of the Preparatory College of Christopher Columbus in the Colonia San Rafael to the Hippodrome Condesa in Mexico City in 1962. On February 15th it opened its doors with only the high school building completed and a partially built Tower, gym and auditorium. By May of the same year, it had rapidly grown enough to announce its transformation from a just a school to a full University category. Since then it has undergone continuous expansion. The main campus has a student population of approximately 10,000 students, and has expanded its campus throughout Mexico City with multiple different buildings found in many areas of the city. Branches of La Salle University are present in 15 different states in Mexico (The Federal District, Mexico State, Michoacan, Hidalgo, Puebla, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, Sonora, Durango, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua, Morelos and Coahuila).

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
