Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

Ventura College
Ventura College is a California-state funded community college located in Ventura, California, USA. Established in 1925, the college has a 112-acre (0.45 km) campus with an enrollment of 14,456 students. The college is part of the Ventura County Community College District. Ventura College was originally located at the current site of Cabrillo Middle School. This building was destroyed by fire in 1951. It then moved to the current site of Ventura High School, and in 1955 was moved to its current location on Telegraph Road. The campus consists of rolling green hills, planted with thousands of different varieties of plants and trees, with approximately 60 classroom, lab, administration, library and student service buildings. The college is the recipient of $112 million dollars from a taxpayer approved bond, (Measure S passed in March 2002) which has resulted in new buildings and new infrastructure across the campus. Ventura College is the home of the Ventura College Promise, the largest grant program of its kind in the nation at a community college.

March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
