Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIM Bhubaneswar, also known as XIMB), is a business school in India, located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the eastern Indian state of Orissa. Established in 1987, the Institute owes its origin to a Social Contract between the Government of Orissa and the Orissa Jesuit Society. The Institute is led by a Governing Board consisting of representatives from the Orissa Jesuit Society, Government of India, and Government of Orissa and eminent invited industrialists and educationists. The academic programmes offered by XIMB are based on the standard model of management education practised globally. Currently, XIMB offers the following diploma and certificate programmes, namely, XIMB has international exchange of faculty and students with the following institutions: A Team of PGP second year students from XIMB claimed the 4th spot in the Rubicon International Business Case contest held in 2006, in Iserlohn, Germany. Incidentally, the team was the sole Asian finalist. XIMB will establish a second campus in Orissa. This 100-acre (0.40 km) campus is slated to start in 2011 to coincide with the institution's silver jubilee.
