York College

York College is a private four year college affiliated with the Churches of Christ located in York, Nebraska. The college was founded in 1890. York College was founded in 1890 by the United Brethren Church. In 1946 the merger of the United Brethren Church and Evangelical Church transferred control of the school to Evangelical United Brethren Church. In 1956 the church transferred control to members of the Churches of Christ. York is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college provides both residential, traditional undergraduate education and online, non-traditional programs. Degrees offered include the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Business Administration. Fields of study offered at York College are: Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees are also offered. York's student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1. Student enrollment is close to 500 with a typical class size of 22. The student population consists of men and women from 30 states and 15 countries.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
