Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

NUS is a great and competitive school. The classes are highly competitive and difficult, so be prepared to study a lot. Choosing classes and making your schedule is difficult so be sure to have back up classes if you do not get the classes you want. The campus is in a hilly area where most people get to class and the dorms by the free bus service. The dorms are a toss up between alright and great. Most international students are either put in PGP or UTown. UTown is brand new and the dorms are newly furnished and also a great place to hang out. The PGP dorms are old and alright and most international students are put here. If you can, live at UTown. The food places at NUS are also a hit or miss. There are some great places to eat and there are also not so great places to eat. But there are at least one place per area that has amazing food. Being a person who has never been to Asia before, living in Singapore was an easy transition. If you are planning on studying here, be sure to take advantage of public transportation system and visit the country. The buses and subway are cheap and fast. Since Singapore is not very large, one would be able to visit most of the tourist places in about three weeks. If you plan on traveling, Singapore is a great place to live. It is very close to Thailand, Vietnam, China, etc. so you should take advantage of that. NUS also has a program where students go to different countries almost every weekend to visit. If you don't plan on traveling that much, the nightlife of Singapore is always active. There are many clubs and bars where young adults go on weekend nights. Overall living and visiting Singapore was a great experience. The food is amazing, there is a ton of shopping, the country is very safe and clean, and the people are very diverse. If you do plan on going to NUS, make sure you study while you have fun and travel.

March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

It was one of the best educational experiences
It was really nice to attend such a great university, I like the environment and faculty of the University of Health Sciences Antigua.
Studying at St. Andrews was one of the best choices I have ever made.
I went to FSU on an athletic scholarship having finished a degree at Stirling University in Scotland.
