Akershus University College (Norwegian: Høgskolen i Akershus, HiAk) is a university college located in Kjeller, Norway. The institution is one of 25 public university colleges owned and run by the Norwegian state. It currently has about 3,900 students and a staff of approximately 300. The University College offers a variety of professional study programmes (Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes and extension and continuing courses) at the four faculties: Study programmes The Bachelor's degree programmes at Akershus University College are mainly professionally oriented and characterised by integration of theory and practice. The candidates are attractive to a wide range of professions needed throughout the society, such as product design, nursing, social education, vocational teaching, facility and service management, institutional catering management, and information and communication technology. One of our principal strategic aims is to be a modern learning centre providing expert tuition founded on research work produced by the highly experienced and qualified academic staff.
