Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering

The Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering is an education trust formed and managed by educationalists, philanthropists and technocrats of Visakhapatnam in 1996. The college offers instruction to 540 undergraduate students in seven branches of engineering: Chemical, Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, and IT. The CSE, ECE, Civil and Mechanical branches take 120 students, IT has an intake of 90, while the others take 60. The campus is located in peaceful Madhurawada, 30 minutes from the city of Visakhapatnam. The campus has a library with 9200 titles, 34,000 volumes, 130 national journals, 70 international journals, as well as a Digital Library in which students can access 240 IEEE journals and 600 journals through the Springer link Engineering Data Unit. The Industrial Consultancy Research and Development (ICRD) centre was started in 2001 to strengthen the colleges industry-institute interaction. The earnings for consultancy has reached Rs.20.00 lakhs. Some of the faculty members with their students are associated with private companies like GE and with central government’s NAHI. The college has been selected by the J.N.T.U.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.
