‎ Glion Institute of Higher Education is a private university with two campuses located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Opened in the fall of 1962 in the former Bellevue Hotel, Glion was the first private, university-level Swiss hotel management school. Glion Institute of Higher Education offers undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate programs that combine industry knowledge with managerial skills and personal development. The degree tracks include hospitality management or event, sport and entertainment with a variety of specializations and entrance/exit-points. Glion is accredited at university level by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) for the United States Department of Education. Every year, Glion enrolls more than a thousand students from over 90 different nationalities. The Glion campus, overlooking the Lake Geneva region above Montreux, is where students focus on hotel and restaurant operations, administration and general education.
