IUKB was officially recognised by the Swiss Government as a university institute in 1992 in accordance with Federal Law on Financial Aid to Universities (UFG/LAU). However, the Business program offered by IUKB in association with the Swiss private education institute Lemania is not accredited by the CRUS (Rectors' Conference of the Swiss Universities)nor the OAQ (Center of Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Swiss Universities). This could be important for most prospective students who are willing to apply the bachelor study. The bachelor diploma of the Business Administration will not provide the accessibility to Swiss domestic public universities. In IUKB, students could study two masters : in child's rights (Master Interdisciplinaire en Droits de l'Enfant) and in tourism (Master Interdisciplinaire en Tourisme). This masters are recognised in Switzerland and in the other countries.
