Holy Family University

Holy Family University is a liberal arts university that offers graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree programs. The university strives and believes that it has a lifelong responsibility towards God, Society and Self. The mission statement of Holy Family Includes six core values that the administration, employees and students work diligently to exemplify on a daily basis. These values include: 1954-Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in Torresdale, Philadelphia founded Holy Family College. 1954-1959-Sister Neomisia Rutkowska is the founding President of the University. 1959-1971-Sister Aloysius Sabacinska is second president of University. 1971-Holy Family acquired 16 acres on the North side of Stevenson Lane. 1975-Men's basketball is formed. 1976-New science labs are renovated. 1977-Lady Tigers softball team begins competed in intercollegiate athletics. 1981-Sister Francesca Onley is appointed president. She currently holds this position as of December 2010. 1988- September 1988, The Campus Center opened. It is an 85,000-square-foot (7,900 m) facility with classrooms, a gymnasium, a full-service cafeteria, student lounges, meeting rooms, and a chapel.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
